Lovely purple Amethyst signet ring made from using a vintage impression die.

This ring design was originally hand carved over one hundred years ago! It depicts a song bird with flowers on each of the tapered sides. It was originally carved in steel and pressed into a reverse image die. The vintage die was rescued from the steel scrappers and used to re-make a modern impression die. It's an old tool for a modern ring.

This is entirely hand made by me in my studio. It is not cast, but pressed silver.

The AAA quality Amethyst on the top is from Brazil and is about 8.5mm x 12mm in size. The band is sterling silver and the entire top is about 15.75mm wide, the lower band is about 4.6mm wide.
